Gosaikunda is an alpine freshwater Lake, nestled in the between the Langtang National Park. The lake melts and sips down to form the famous Trishuli River and remains frozen for six months in winter October to June.

The trek is short and comparatively easier than other famous treks in Nepal but equally scenic and beautiful. The trek offers panoramic view of the Langtang range, Himalchuli, Manaslu (8156m) and Ganesh Himal range.

Both Hindus and Buddhist also consider Gosainkunda as a holy lake. Thousands of locals pay homage on a pilgrimage journey to the lake every year in the month of August.
